The Chargers vs. Chiefs spread was coming in at -3.5 in favor of San Diego.  The Chiefs, who had only one loss at home last year, started off this season slow but have managed to win their last three games.  With 85 percent of the betting public backing the Chargers spread, expect the line to move up at least a half point prior to Monday night’s game.

While the home team has won this series over the last four games, San Diego is 7-1 outright against the Chiefs.  Three of those games were won by 3 or fewer points however.

The Chargers are 2-7-1 Against The Spread in their last 10 games as a road favorite and are 1-5-1 ATS in their last 7 games as a road favorite of 3.5-10.0.

San Diego is also 1-5-1 ATS in their last 7 games after allowing more than 150 yards rushing in their previous game.

The Chiefs are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games as an underdog and are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall.

The Chiefs are just 0-5 ATS in their last 5 home games vs. a team with a winning road record though.

We should note that Kansas City’s last three wins were against two teams with losing records and another team, Oakland, that just lost its starting quarterback.

Let’s check out the video betting preview for the Chargers vs. Chiefs game.  John Cranton offers the analysis.
