The Chargers vs. Browns betting line was a bit fluid moving between San Diego -2.5 and -3.  The public was pounding San Diego on the spread at 80 percent heading into Sunday morning.  Join Bookmaker here now and claim up to $2500 in free bonus money.  Mobile and iPad wagering available.  Use live online chat to have your account open in minutes.

These two teams last met in 2009 where San Diego beat the Browns by 7 points on the road.  That wasn’t enough to cover, however, as Cleveland was a +13.5 home underdog at the time.  The current line suggests they have improved vastly since that time although many would beg to differ.

Cleveland has only won a single game in their last eight.  San Diego is thus far underperforming this season with a record of 3-3 heading into Cleveland and having lost their last two games.  One would imagine Cleveland might provide the perfect medicine for the Chargers to push beyond .500 and remain competitive with division rival Denver for a Playoffs spot down the line.

The Chargers are 5-0 Against The Spread in their last 5 games following a double-digit loss at home and are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 vs. AFC.

The Browns are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games following an ATS loss.

Cleveland is also 7-0 ATS in their last 7 games after scoring less than 15 points in their previous game.

It is hard to believe, but despite their abysmal Straight Up record, the Browns are 7-3-1 ATS in their last 11 games overall.  They are 4-9-2 ATS in their last 15 home games.

San Diego is one of the most wagered on teams this week in the NFL.  They were getting the third heaviest action after the Giants and Falcons.

NFL betting used to be built mostly around teams. Bettors looked at spreads, totals, moneylines, injuries, weather and coaching matchups. Those pieces are still there, but the modern football betting board is much more player-driven than it used to be.
