The Cardinals vs. Panthers betting line for the 2015 NFL Playoffs opened at Carolina -4.5.

Arizona at one point in the second half of the season had the best record in the league while Carolina seemingly didn’t stand a chance of making it into the post season.  But the Cardinals have been decimated by injuries with two quarterbacks out.  The Panthers, meanwhile, improved in recent weeks and took full advantage of a very weak NFC South division.  Two of their four straight wins to close the season included drubbings of division rivals New Orleans and Atlanta.

Carolina will enter the post season with a 7-8-1 record.  They are the first team to make the Playoffs with a losing record since Seattle did so in 2010.

"It feels great," Carolina running back Jonathan Stewart said. "I mean, it's a blessing and you just have to cherish these moments right now. ... We just believed and played our hearts out and this is where we are."

The Cardinals, should they make it to the Super Bowl, would have home field advantage.  The 2015 Super Bowl will be held in Phoenix.

Drew Stanton is expected to be back after nursing a sprained right knee for the game against Carolina.
