The Cardinals-Falcons point spread had Atlanta as the +1.5 to +2.5 home dog here and it was the beat up Cardinals seeing 80% of the betting action.

Arizona comes into this game having lost just two games this season.  They are also 8-3 Against The Spread.  Atlanta leads the NFC South with an astonishing 4-7 record both Straight Up and Against The Spread.

The home team has won the last seven games in this series dating back to 2004.  More recently, the home team won in both 2012 and 2013 with each team grabbing one victory apiece.  Arizona won last year 27-13.

The Cardinals six game winning streak was snapped last week when quarterback Drew Stanton struggled against the reigning Super Bowl champion Seahawks.  The good news is that Larry Fitzgerald is likely to play though he remains a game time call.  Atlanta, meanwhile, lost a heartbreaker at home in the final seconds to Cleveland after winning two straight on the road.

The Cardinals are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games following a Straight Up loss.

On the fantasy front,  you just gotta love Arizona kicker Chandler Calanzaro.  With his team going up against an Atlanta squad that is dead last in total defense, it would seem on the surface that Calanzaro is going to have plenty of opportunities and, unless he blows those chances, Calanzaro should rack up plenty of fantasy points.  He’s priced at around $4500 at most fantasy sites.

Atlanta’s Matt Ryan hasn't topped 15 standard fantasy points since Week 4 and is 23rd among signal-callers in fantasy points per game since Week 5 (just behind Mike Glennon).  Arizona is allowing the 4th fewest fantasy points to opposing arms.  ‘Nuff said.

Meanwhile, Andre Ellington did a number on Atlanta last season and here we have a situation where the Falcons are 24th versus the run and have allowed the most rushing touchdowns in the league (15).  Ellington is on fire this season and we can’t see Atlanta standing in the way of that trend
