Broncos vs. Chargers Betting Line – Fantasy Value: CJ Anderson

The Broncos vs. Chargers betting line had San Diego as a +4.5 underdog across the board.  We also have a Fantasy look at CJ Anderson, who practiced on Friday and looks like he is good to go on Sunday vs. San Diego.

The line on this game has moved up from -3.5 to -4.5 over the past week.  That makes plenty of sense as nearly 70% of those betting this game are backing Denver.  The Broncos have won six of the last seven meetings between these two teams.  All but one has been a victory by more than the current spread.

While the Broncos are 9-3-1 Against The Spread in their last 13 vs. AFC West, they are also 10-21 ATS in their last 31 road games vs. a team with a winning home record.  The Chargers are 1-7 Against The Spread in their last 8 games overall and 1-8 ATS in their last 9 home games vs. a team with a winning road record but are also 10-3 ATS in their last 13 games after allowing more than 350 total yards in their previous game.

CJ Anderson is a so-so Fantasy pick for this matchup.  He’ll cost you a bit at $7600 so the value is not exactly there but still, he has over 20 Fantasy points in four of his last five games.   Even running for 2.8 yards per carry with zero catches last week he ended up with more than 20 points.  Go figure.   The problem Anderson will encounter is that the Chargers have not allowed a running back to score on the ground since Week 9.  And that might be enough of a reason to sit him.
