The Atlanta Falcons are looking like the team to beat this season with the Detroit Lions unable to stop them at home despite a close game to the very end.  It was the Buffalo Bills though that saved the day for North American-facing books.

Dave Mason of BetOnline.ag posted earlier in the day that only 20% of the spread betting action was on Buffalo in their home game against the Denver Broncos.

“We need them bad!” Mason acknowledged, pointing out the heavy exposure.

Atlanta was the second most bet on side while Pittsburgh and Tampa were 3rd or 4th depending on the book.  Not that it matter, both teams lost outright.

All-in-all, this was a very good week for the books in terms of NFL betting.
