The Bills-Lions betting line had Buffalo as a +7 road underdog heading into Detroit following news that veteran quarterback Kyle Orton will be replacing EJ Manuel for the Bills. While Fantasy enthusiasts aren’t exactly enthusiastic over Orton, the immediate Fantasy impact might be on Bills wide receiver Sammy Watkins.
The last and only time Orton started for Buffalo, he connected with Watkins on eight occasions for 99 yards and a touchdown. Manuel has been widely described as “erratic” and one of the reasons Watkins has not been effective thus far this season.
"It's not all EJ's fault, but we need to get better production, obviously, out of that position," coach Doug Marrone said Monday. "We have to make adjustments. We've got to make some changes, because we can't keep going in the direction that we're going."
Betting action was balanced for this game early on in the week.
