Real Madrid were priced at 6/5 odds, Atletico Madrid were at 5/2 and the Draw was at 5/2. Nearly 80% of those betting this matchup were backing Real Madrid.

This is the second leg of the Spanish Supercopa with the first matchup between these two teams ending in a 1-1 tie.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti said of Atletico: "We are used to playing against Atletico and they are used to facing us. I don't think the style of game will be different, they now have the advantage from their positive result at the Bernabeu but I think it will be the same type of match. We need to defend, counter attack well and take advantage of free-kicks. Di Maria asked to leave this summer and rejected the option to renew. We will look for the best option for him and if at the end of August he is still here then he will work with us like last season."
