Bears vs. Lions

For those betting the Bears vs. Lions spread, one might wish to consider betting both sides of this game.  Chicago was a -4.5 road favorite at BetUS.com.  Detroit was a +5.5 home underdog at some of the more recreational-oriented online bookmakers.  A win by Chicago of 5 points in this game would pay out on both sides.

The odds of this happening are better than one might think.  Chicago beat Detroit by 5 points in the last game in which they played.  A 5-point win has occurred once prior in the last 10 games of this series.

The Bears beat Philadelphia by 5 points last week (31-26).

It should be noted that the Bears have won the last 5 games in this series.

Chicago was the most wagered on team in the NFL as of Friday for the upcoming Sunday games.  They were getting over 90 percent of the spread action.

The Bears are 4-0 Against The Spread in their last 4 games as a road favorite of 3.5-10.0; 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games following a S.U. win but are a dismal 1-5-1 ATS in their last 7 games in December.

The Lions are 6-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record; 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games as a home underdog of 3.5-10.0 and are 2-6-1 ATS in their last 9 vs. NFC North.
