Number 10-ranked Baylor will be without starting receiver Levi Norwood for at least three weeks, thus diminishing their chances of making a serious run at the National title.

Norwood has undergone wrist surgery for an injury suffered in the opener against SMU.

As if that were not bad enough, quarterback Bryce Petty might also be sitting out Saturday’s game against Northwestern State.  That game was off the board as a result of the uncertainties surrounding Baylor.

Petty suffered an injury after cracking two transverse processes in his back last week against SMU.
