Auburn betting odds for 2014 were available on their chances of winning the National Championship, season wins totals OVER/UNDERs and more here.

In his first year as head coach of the Auburn Tigers, Gus Malzahn engineered a remarkable season in which his brilliance as an offensive mastermind unleashed the talent of the Auburn Tigers as they had some very unique and special karma that sparked miracle wins and improbable comebacks that will be difficult to duplicate.

The Auburn Tigers led the Florida State Seminoles in the final moments of the BCS national championship a year ago but could not hang on as midnight did indeed strike on Cinderella. The 2014 team will be very potent again on offense but the defense has some holes.

2014 Auburn Tigers National Championship Odds: 20-1

2014 Auburn Tigers Offense: The Auburn Tigers have a dynamic starting quarterback in Nick Marshall. He threw for 1,976 yards, 14 touchdowns with six interceptions last season and he rushed for 1,068 yards and 12 touchdowns. He will have to do even more this season as the team lost running back Tre Mason to the NFL. The team does have Cameron Artis-Payne and Corey Grant and they have redshirt freshman Peyton Barber. The team has Sammie Coates back at receiver and they added junior college transfer D’haquille Williams. The offense also has Ricardo Louis, Quan Bray and Marcus Davis in addition to tight end C.J. Uzomah. And four starters return on the offensive line.

2014 Auburn Tigers Defense: The Auburn Tigers defense was poor a year ago as they gave up more than 420 yards per game. They could be better this season but they need Carl Lawson to play well up front and they need someone to show up in the secondary. The pressure is on Josh Holsey and Jonathon Mincy to produce at corner. The team does have Montravius Adams returning on the line and they have Gabe Wright so they should be able to get pressure on opposing quarterbacks and that should help the secondary.

2014 Auburn Tigers Outlook: The Auburn Tigers had a miracle season a year ago that nearly ended with a national title. They are unlikely to get that lucky this time around but they will still be exciting to watch with a potent offense. A difficult schedule has them going to Ole Miss, Alabama and Georgia in SEC play.
