AFC West Division Odds 2013: Denver Broncos Huge Favorites

When it comes to AFC West division odds in 2013, the Denver Broncos are the biggest favorites out there despite some of the potential talent we may see in Kansas City and San Diego.

Denver was a 1/4 favorite to win this division but there is definitely value with the Kansas City Chiefs, who come in with 8/1 odds while San Diego was listed with 6/1 odds.  Oakland is not likely to get very far this season.  Their odds were coming in at 18/1.

So we know what Denver is capable of but what about the Chiefs and their new head coach Andy Reid and starting quarterback Alex Smith?  Both men will come into this season with chips on their shoulders.

If there is even some remote improvement, the Chiefs have the luxury of a very soft schedule their first 9 weeks.  They will play 7 of those games against teams that failed to get beyond .500 last season.

A strong start will be needed as the second half of the schedule should prove brutal with two games against the Broncos, two games against division rival San Diego, a game in Washington and they host the Colts.

Around these parts at Gambling911.com we are kind of excited about the Chiefs prospects in 2013.

J.J. McCarthy Drafted Number 3 Odds to Patriots

To be clear, the Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pretty certain to land in Minnesota.  But what if the New England Patriots shock us and pick McCarthy at Number 3 before the Vikings get their opportunity at No. 5?
