This Sunday nightís prime time game will feature AFC South rivals the Indianapolis Colts who are on the road facing the Houston Texans.

The Texans have won all 3 home games this aseason, in contrast the Colts have lost both road games thus far. Will this match up follow the trend or will the tables turn and the Colts win their first road game of the year?

The Colts are coming from a morale busting win against the Chicago Bears last week, although it was a not an overwhelming win, it does serve to spruce up the teamís spirits. Andrew Luck, gave another great performance, he is likely the only reason the Colts have managed to scrape two wins this season. He has thrown an impressive 1469 yards and 10 touchdowns, yet, he is the most sacked quarterback in the entire league. This guy has taken a beating every single week, and yet he still plays well, it is a shame he doesnít have a team behind him, or this would be a very different story we would be telling.

The Texans arenít that great of a team this year either, it is possible that they are the worst winning team in the NFL at the moment. They managed to win against the Chiefs, the Titans and the Bears which is not saying much, they froze against the Patriots in week 3 where they were shut out 27-0 and crumbled against the Minnesota Vikings last week, losing 31-13. So they clearly have a hard time against winning teams, but this is the Colts we are talking about, so they might still have a chance.

Last season, the Texans profited from the Colts implosion, and ended up snatching the AFC South and moved to the playoffs, everyone was expecting Indianapolis to bounce back this year, but so far it hasnít happened and unless the team ups their coverage of Andrew Luck it may not happen at all. Nonetheless, this game has huge playoff implications for both franchises, if the Colts win they will tie the Texans for first play in the AFC South, but if the Texans win they will widen their lead and make it very difficult for Indianapolis to catch up.

The key point to look for in this match up will be the Colts pass offense against the Texans pass defense. On average æ of the Colts yards come from their passing game while the Texans have the 4th best pass defense as far as yards allowed.

If the Texans manage to hold the Colts to 300 passing yards they should be able to dominate the game, they should be able to contain all of the Colts receivers and generate enough of a consistent pass rushing game to walk away with their 4th win at home.

The latest football gambling odds at AceSportsbook.com put the Texans as 3 point favorites, this will be a close game, as both teams are known to be inconsistent and unpredictable, so it could go either way frankly. I Still think the Texans will win because they are home, but it will probably be by a difference of 3 so I donít feel the point spread is worth betting. The safer wager in this game is the under.

To be clear, the Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pretty certain to land in Minnesota.  But what if the New England Patriots shock us and pick McCarthy at Number 3 before the Vikings get their opportunity at No. 5?
