It shouldn’t come as any surprise that the Denver Broncos would be favored to win the AFC West, and at 1/6 odds, there’s not a whole lot of value for Broncos backers unless you believe they are a sure thing to win.

Gambling911.com does not believe the Broncos are a sure thing.

The San Diego Chargers at 7/1 odds have some potential coming into the 2013 regular season.  A new head coach, a new offensive scheme and some solid Draft selections could result in an exciting year for the Chargers.

A quick glance at the 2013 regular season schedule and it is easy to see San Diego winning 10 or more games.  They face off against the Jaguars and Cardinals, both teams pegged by oddsmakers early on to have the worst records in 2013.  They will face Kansas City twice.  The Chargers also play 5 other games against an opponent that had a losing season last year.

The Oakland Raiders don’t quite look as if they are there yet after suffering through a miserable 2012.  They were listed at 16/1 odds to win the AFC West division.

Alex Smith will be taking over the helm of starting quarterback at Kansas City.  That alone should ignite some passion back with the Chiefs even though there are plenty of naysayers out there. Wide receiver Dwayne Bowe provides Smith with the perfect weapon to win games. Oh and there is also Andy Reid as head coach.

KC was coming in at 7/1 odds of winning the AFC West so there is certainly some good value here.
