49ers-Eagles Betting Line

BetOnline was preparing to offer a betting line on the 49ers-Eagles game with Michael Vick’s proclamation that he is 100 percent likely to play come Sunday.  The Eagles  quarterback suffered a contusion on his non-throwing hand in Sunday’s loss to the Giants.

"Even if it was broke, I think I would have probably padded it up and went back out there," Vick said after a morning walkthrough. "You got to take precaution, but this is what I love to do."

Some books were beginning to offer this one at Philadelphia -10.

Stan Simmons of BetOnline.com offered his prediction for this game, Vick or no Vick.

Even if Vick doesn’t play, the Eagles are still the play at home as the 49ers have won just six of their last 20 games on the road, and we don’t trust their offense to score enough to give San Francisco a chance. Eventually the defense will crack and we also expect McCoy to have a big game against the 49ers and their vaunted rushing defense, taking some of the pressure off the quarterback.

Philadelphia has won the last three years in this series.  They have covered twice against the current spread.

The 49ers are 1-6-1 Against The Spread in their last 8 games following a S.U. win.

The Eagles are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games following a double-digit loss at home but they are also 1-5 ATS in their last 6 vs. NFC, 0-4 ATS in their last 4 home games and are 0-7 ATS in their last 7 games after accumulating more than 350 total yards in their previous game.
