First reported by Adam Caplan, the Chargers announced they are bringing back TE Jeff Cumberland to active roster. The Chargers also activated LB Denzel Perryman from IR/designated to return. Cumberland finished his six seasons with the Jets’ recording 86 catches for 1,119 yards and 10 touchdowns.
The Chargers also activated ILB Denzel Perryman (ankle) off IR-DFR. He’ll definitely boost the Chargers defense as he made 72 tackles and two sacks last season. As a rookie in 2015, Perryman had 73 tackles and two sacks. The Chargers are a +4 road dog in Jacksonville.
