2012 Week 1 NFL Lines: Giants-Cowboys Wednesday Night Game at New York -2.5

The 2012 Week 1 NFL lines were released this past week with the first game scheduled for a Wednesday featuring the Giants-Cowboys and a line of -2.5 New York.  This line has since moved up to -3 at Sportsbook.com here

Eli Manning and the 2012 Super Bowl champion Giants will open the season vs. the Cowboys in the NFL's first Wednesday game since 1948.  The league moved the game to avoid a conflict with President Barack Obama's Thursday night speech at the Democratic National Convention. The game will be on NBC.

Cowboys fans can’t be thrilled with the early season schedule for Dallas, which has to endure 6 of 9 games on the road with one of the three home games against the reigning Super Bowl champs again during Week 8.

The Giants, meanwhile, have five primetime games and will face the three NFC teams - Atlanta, Green Bay and San Francisco - they defeated in the playoffs. They also will have games with Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Green Bay, New Orleans, and Baltimore.  New York won't have a bye until Nov. 18.
"We will have a week-in and week-out challenge, not only in who we play, but with the different elements of our schedule," Giants coach Tom Coughlin said. "We play on four different days and we have five night games. Our first three games are Wednesday-Sunday-Thursday. We play two road night games early, come home for a week and then go to San Francisco. Our people are going to have to be really good about it."
