2010 Pro Bowl odds overwhelmingly had lopsided action on the NFC by a whopping 82 percent at Sportsbetting.com (see odds here)  The NFC was favored by 2 ½ points after opening at -1 ½ earlier in the week.  The NFC has won three of the last four Pro Bowls.

NFL commish Roger Goodell is changing things up this year, putting the Pro Bowl before the Super Bowl, as opposed to after.

The NFL's All-Star game will go this Sunday.

"There has been limited traffic for the Pro Bowl," expressed Payton O'Brien of Gambling911.com, the implication being that it's hardly made a dent.  "People will bet on the event but most of the activity is being directed towards next week's Super Bowl."

And it is easy to see why.

The Pro Bowl has come under criticism in recent years since fans have been allowed to cast votes on which players will partake.

Some players have had a surprisingly small number of pro bowl selections despite distinguished careers. Voting by fans makes up 1/3 of the vote for Pro Bowl players. Many teams like Dallas, New York, and other large fan bases usually win because fans usually vote for their own team and not necessarily the best player.

For oddsmakers, the Pro Bowl represents one of the most difficult events in which to instill a line since the teams will change yearly.

While sports bettors will undoubtedly still be in search of 2010 Pro Bowl odds, the NFL is doing its part to try to hype the showdown by scheduling it before the Super Bowl as opposed to afterwards when NFL fans are still hungover.

David Carter, who runs USC's Sports Business Institute, says the NFL is simply trying to stage their all-star game while fans still have football on the brain.

"It is, however, causing quite a bit of problems with teams and players and other personnel for whom the week before the Super Bowl is already busy enough."

Deposit up to $300 and Sportsbetting.com will match that number.  For example:  Open an account with $500 using your credit card or other accepted method and Sportsbetting.com will put another $300 into your account Plus an additional 10 percent bonus (in this case $50).   This offer is for Gambling911.com readers ONLY so click here to open your account!  USE BONUS CODE GAMBLING911 when joining.  Opening an online betting account is easy at Sportsbetting.com.
