Sports Interaction betting analyst Frank Doyle looks at 2009 NFL preseason betting and makes his picks for Week 2.

It's never quiet in the Metrodome, but it'll be especially loud on Friday night when the Viking faithful see Brett Favre trotting out wearing purple. Kansas City is the sacrifi.. oh, excuse me, visitor, and the Vikings are -3.5 point favorites. There's no good reason to oppose that. Vikings -3.5 with Sports Interaction is the pick.

The majority of the Week 2 games are on Saturday, and there are lots of interesting games there. The first thing to jump out at you is that Pittsburgh is a road favorite at Washington. Pittsburgh rumbled past the Cardinals easily enough last weekend but Washington got shut out by the Ravens in Baltimore. Preseason is only preseason but goodness gracious, the Redskins looked about as tough as your kid sister and her friends. They'll try harder at home but that still might not be enough to save them. Pittsburgh -1 with Sports Interaction is the pick.

Oakland at San Francisco is an interesting one. The teams play ever year in preseason, or so it seems, but you couldn't really think of them as rivals even though they look across San Francisco Bay at each other. Oakland enjoyed a win over Dallas last Thursday - the silver and black are glad for any win these days - while the 'Niners held on by a point against the misfiring Broncos.

San Francisco has home advantage but I like the Raiders in this one. Tom Cable allegedly slugging one his coaches is probably good for the franchise - it shows he cares, and this is football. You have to be able to give and take the odd lick. Oakland +3 with Sports Interaction is the pick.

Chicago is a reasonable bet at home against the Giants, for the simple reason that people in Chicago really hate New Yorkers and will appreciate seeing the Giants take a few licks, even if it is only the preseason.

The final game of Week 2 is Denver's visit to Seattle, and I like Seattle -3 in this one. Both teams lost last week but Seattle always has a slightly stronger home advantage than other teams because Seattle is so far away from the other NFL franchises. And travelling makes a difference - Seahawks -3 with Sports Interaction is the pick.
