BetOnline has your World Cup 2014 Group A betting odds with the obvious favorite being Brazil.

There will be those betting Brazil at the steep -500 price.  A $50 wager pays $10 (with the $50 refunded should Brazil win in Group A, which they will).

The next shortest odds belonged to Croatia at 7/1.

While the Croatians will miss Mario Mandzukic in their first game against Brazil due to a suspension, players like Luka Modric and Ivan Rakitic are still very talented.  Croatia, however, failed to impress during the qualifiers against Belgium and Iceland.

As for Mexico, this is not the same national team we have seen in past World Cups.

Javier Hernandez hasn't scored for the national team since last summer and the team itself has been in a bit of a scoring drought.

Fortunately for Mexico they will first play Cameroon (25/1 to win Group A) at this year’s World Cup.  Cameroon has been mired in turmoil.  They needed a last minute loan to end a highly publicized player strike.

Croatia and Mexico each pay slightly better than EVEN odds to advance from Group A
