USA vs. Germany World Cup betting odds had the Draw priced at 7-2 though Germany was still the favorite at 3/4 odds early on. The Americans were a huge early underdog at 10-1. All odds courtesy of BetDSI.com here.
The Draw has tremendous value here as both teams can advance into the ROund of 16.
Both games in this group will be played at Noon EDT Thursday. For those living in the US, ESPN will show the USA vs. Germany game.
Now it should be noted that the USA can still advance even with a loss should Ghana and Portugal draw.
Another scenario would be the loss and the win tiebreaker vs. Portugal-Ghana winner.
The US was on the verge of advancing into the Round of 16 with a 2-1 lead before Varela scored with a little help from Cristiano Ronaldo just before the final whistle to snatch a 2-2 draw for Portugal in Manaus.
USA entered the 2014 World Cup at 200-1 odds to win it outright. Those odds were now at 40-1.
