Paraguay vs. Spain World Cup odds had Paraguay as the huge underdog with a payout potential of US$65 for every US$10 bet if they were to beat mighty Spain.  To bet Spain, one must lay down US$24 to win US$10 (the $24 bet is refunded should Spain win).

Spain was getting 90 percent of the betting action in this one.

A bigger threat than Paraguay might be Spain's own history of disappointment, Stats Inc. warns.

The reigning European Champions haven't been to the semifinals of soccer's biggest stage in 60 years.

That record makes Paraguay a worthwhile pick at +650 odds, even if it is just for $10.

Paraguay dominated possession against the Japanese, something it doesn't expect to repeat against Spain in the country's first World Cup quarterfinal.

"It's going to be a good match where you will see two types of football," goalkeeper Justo Villar said, adding that Paraguay "(won't) give them any space."

"One side trying to attack skillfully while we try to stop them and then try to take advantage of our chances."
