Mexico is favored against Cameroon in the opener for both teams at the 2014 World Cup on Friday, June 13th.

Mexico was expected to make the World Cup but how they got there was a major surprise.

They struggled early and they changed managers as they went from Jose Manuel de la Torre to Luis Fernando Tena and Victor Manuel Vucetich. They finally settled on Miguel Herrera and he led them to a playoff win over New Zealand. Mexico is led by Giovani dos Santos and Javier Hernandez.

Cameroon appears to be in over their head at the 2014 World Cup but they are not without a chance against Mexico and Croatia.

The problem is finding someone to score as their best option is the aging Samuel Eto'o or the inconsistent Alex Song.
