This game goes off Sunday, 2:30 pm Eastern - ABC

Brazil will look to clinch a spot in the round of 16 as they face Ivory Coast on Sunday in World Cup betting action.  Brazil defeated North Korea in their opener in Group G while Ivory Coast played to a draw with Portugal.  Brazil is the favorite at SBG Global with the total on the match at 2.5 under.

History is not on the side of Ivory Coast in this match.  Brazil has never lost a World Cup match to an African side. In fact, they have never even allowed a goal to an African team in the World Cup. Ivory Coast is capable of scoring though as they have Didier Drogba who was the top scorer this year for Chelsea in the Premier League.  Drogba broke his arm a few weeks ago but he had surgery, had a cast put on, and he entered the game against Portugal as a substitute and actually played pretty well.  There is a very good chance he could start this match on Sunday that can be seen on ABC.

Brazil got the 2-1 win against North Korea in the opener but it was not an overwhelming effort.  Kaka has not played very well in recent matches so Brazil is relying more on Robinho to create offense. Kaka played 77 minutes in the opener and he had to come out due to fatigue.  Coach Carlos Dunga has said that Kaka is not ready to play an entire game yet.  This is a key match against Ivory Coast since Brazil could clinch their spot in the next round with a win. They don't want to lose this match and then face a must-win against Portugal in the last match.  Midfielder Julio Baptista believes that Kaka is finally ready to show his top form and will have a big soccer game on Sunday.

Ivory Coast played well in their opener against Portugal but they could not get a goal.  Having Drogba play the entire game could give Ivory Coast more opportunities to score.  The match against Portugal had very few scoring chances since both teams played not to lose. That will not be the case in this match.  Brazil goalkeeper Julio Cesar didn't get much work against North Korea but he should be tested by Ivory Coast. Cesar believes that his team can hold Drogba in check and get the win.
