Argentina Odds To Win 2010 World Cup

Opening at 7/1, Argentina is now a favorite to win the 2010 World Cup at +350 odds

BetUS.com, one of the largest online gambling websites, has slashed Argentina's odds of winning the 2010 World Cup nearly in half.  Having opened at 7/1 odds, Argentina was now listed at +350 at BetUS.com, with the payout potential being US$35 for every US$10 bet.

These are better odds than Spain at +400 while Brazil is still technically the favorite at +300.  Germany, which pummeled England on Sunday and advances to the quarterfinals, was listed with +550 odds.

Argentina was the +125 favorite vs. Germany at +220 when these two teams meet next Saturday.  The payout for Argentina would be US$12.50 for every US$10 bet if they are to beat Germany.

Carlos Tevez scored two goals and Gonzalo Higuain added another Sunday to give Argentina a 3-1 win over Mexico and a spot in the World Cup quarterfinals.

To date, outside of the USA, Argentina has been the most searched for team in terms of betting inquiries at the Gambling911.com website, even better than England, which is the Mecca of bookmaking.
