San Francisco 49ers star Deebo Samuel injured his left shoulder in the first quarter of the divisional round playoff game versus Green Bay, thus prompting at least one sportsbook to refund Samuel prop bets.

DraftKings issued the following statement following the game:

"We will be refunding all losing bets that included Deebo Samuel on markets that were undetermined before he left the game. This includes single and parlay wagers where he was the only losing selection.

"Credited inside 48 hours, digital bets only, refunded in Bonus Bets."

The problem here is that Samuel actually logged two catches prior to his injury.

This prompted questions as to why DraftKings did not previously void bets on other players that went down early in prior games.

"Why didn’t you do this when Cortland Sutton got hurt? He didn’t even record a stat. Deebo gets 2 catches and you do this."

Another wrote:

"You refund a prop against your own terms and conditions yet you limit long term winners?? I still can’t bet more than $39."

Still others blasted FanDuel for not following DraftKings lead.

"Void Deebo or we all go to @DKSportsbook," one person threatened in a tweet at FanDuel Sportsbook.

FanDuel explained their decision.

"Thank you for reaching out. Since Deebo Samuel recorded a snap in this game all markets will remain active and graded accordingly per our house rules. Feel free to DM us with any additional questions or concerns."

The magic word here is "consistency".

In any event, the star wide receiver is due for further testing on Sunday.  It's pretty clear the 49ers won't be winning a Super Bowl without him.
