Grayson McCall of North Carolina State had a passing yards total set at 240.5 while Tennessee's Nico Iamaleava was coming in at 258.5, courtesy of our friends at BetUS.
The Wolfpack defeated the Catamounts, 38-21, last Thursday and are clinging to the Top 25 (No. 24) as a result but are a +9 neutral field dog in this Duke's Mayo Classic game being played in Charlotte. In case you were wondering, the drive from Knoxville to Charlotte is a mere hour-and-a-half more than from Raleigh Durham where the Wolfpack play.
McCall, a transfer from Coastal Carolina, was 26-of-40 for 318 yards, with three touchdowns last week.
But the Wolfpack did have to come from behind to win its Week 1 game. They were listed as a 33.5 favorite.
“We have a whole bunch of work to do. Obviously, we were expecting a blowout, but not every single game is going to be a blowout,” Wolfpack wide receiver KC Concepcion said after the game.
Tennessee comes into this matchup ranked No. 14. They manhandled Chatanooga last week, 69-3.
Iamaleava passed for 314 yards and three touchdowns in just the first half.
The Vols put up 490 yards of total offense and the Mocs didn’t get past their own 47.
