Well, that didn’t take long! Two college football coaches were fired over the weekend.

Brent Pry at Virginia Tech and Deshaun Foster at UCLA both got the axe and now have my favorite job…getting paid to do nothing.

There are just some losses that are unacceptable and almost worth an immediate firing.

Case in point number one, Virginia Tech lost at home 45-26 to Old Dominion. Can’t happen, ever!

Case in point number two, UCLA lost at home 35-10 to New Mexico. Can’t happen, ever!

Virginia Tech is 0-3 and has been outscored 113-57, but they have nothing on UCLA, who are also 0-3 and been outscored 108-43.

We don’t know if they will hire a full-time head coach this season or just go with an interim head coach until the offseason.

The oddsmakers at BetOnline.ag have opened lines for the next full-time head coach at each university.

One name is atop the leaderboard for both schools. None other than Jon Gruden.

Gruden is a slight favorite at each school with Deion Sanders at UCLA and Shane Beamer at Virginia Tech a close second.
