2025 College Football Week 1 Line Shifts Examined

We get to see the best non-conference game of the regular season in Week 1 this Saturday.

The SEC against the Big Ten.

The Texas Longhorns against the Ohio State Buckeyes.

No. 1 against No. 2 in one poll (#1 vs. #3 in the AP Top 25).

And you don’t have to wait all day for it, as the game starts at 12 p.m. ET.

There are also some other great non-conference matchups in LSU/Clemson, Notre Dame/Miami and Alabama/Florida State.

The oddsmakers at SportsBetting.ag opened all the FBS game lines for Week 1 in late May. Since then, there have been some significant changes, and they are noted below.

  1. The largest spread is Penn State (-44) vs Nevada.
  2. The smallest spread is Oregon State (-1.5) vs California.
  3. Alabama (-13.5) over FSU is the largest road favorite.
  4. These three games have switched favorites since initial release.

    7. Georgia Southern/Fresno State moved 3.5 points from Fresno State -1.5 to +2.
    8. UNLV/Sam Houston moved 3.5 points from UNLV -13.5 to -10.
    9. Toledo/Kentucky moved 3.5 points from Kentucky -11.5 to -8.
