From here until the rest of the regular season, the majority of FBS college football games will be amongst conference opponents.

Let’s check out the updated conference odds, courtesy of BetOnline.ag, right as teams are getting into the meat of their schedules. 

Here are some notes since we last sent out the conference odds on October 7.

  1. Some teams have already been dropped from odds to win their conference.
  2. James Madison is the largest favorite to win their conference.
  3. There are five new conference favorites since the last email.
  4.  AAC
    1. South Florida is the new favorite.
    2. Memphis goes from favorite to fifth.
    3. There are still three undefeated teams in-conference.
    4. UTSA from 33/1 to 100/1.
    5. Just like last email, 8 of the 14 teams are still on the board.
  5. ACC
    1. Georgia Tech is the new favorite passing Miami (who is now second).
    2. There are still three undefeated teams in-conference.
    3. Louisville from 25/1 to 5/1.
    4. California from 66/1 to 100/1.
    5. Since the last email, Clemson and Florida State are now off the board.
    6. 8 of the 17 teams are still on the board.
  6. Big 12
    1. Texas Tech remains the favorite.
    2. There are still two undefeated teams in-conference.
    3. Houston from 66/1 to 33/1.
    4. Kansas from 28/1 to 75/1
    5. Since the last email, Arizona is now off the board.
    6. 11 of the 16 teams are still on the board.
  7. Big Ten
    1. Ohio State remains the favorite.
    2. There are still two undefeated teams in-conference.
    3. Oregon from 7/5 to 9/1.
    4. Indiana from 15/2 to 7/4.
    5. Since the last email, Illinois, Nebraska, Penn State and Washington are now off the board.
    6. 6 of the 18 teams are still on the board.
  8. Conference USA
    1. Kennesaw State went from sixth (10/1 to 7/4) to the favorite surpassing Western Kentucky (now second)
    2. There are still two undefeated teams in-conference.
    3. New Mexico State from 66/1 to 35/1.
    4. Louisiana Tech from 12/5 to 14/1.
    5. UTEP from 33/1 to 80/1.
    6. Since the last email, Middle Tennessee now off the board.
    7. 9 of the 12 teams are still on the board.
  9. MAC
    1. Miami (OH) is the new favorite.
    2. Toledo went from the favorite to tied for fifth.
    3. There are still three undefeated teams in-conference.
    4. Ball State from 20/1 to 40/1.
    5. Since the last email, Eastern Michigan and Northern Illinois are now off the board.
    6. 8 of the 13 teams are still on the board.
  10. Mountain West Conference
    1. Boise State remains the favorite.
    2. There are still two undefeated teams in-conference.
    3. San Diego State from sixth at 12/1 to second at 5/1.
    4. San Jose State from 10/1 to 66/1.
    5. Since the last email, Air Force, Colorado State and Nevada are now off the board.
    6. 9 of 12 teams are still on the board.
  11. SEC
    1. Alabama remains the favorite.
    2. There are still two undefeated teams in-conference.
    3. Vanderbilt from 40/1 to 20/1.
    4. LSU from 16/1 to 80/1.
    5. Tennessee from 22/1 to 80/1.
    6. Florida from 25/1 to 100/1
    7. Since the last email, Auburn is now off the board.

  12. Sun Belt
    1. James Madison replaces Old Dominion as the favorite.
    2. Old Dominion from the favorite at 3/2 to ninth at 66/1.
    3. Troy from 20/1 to 7/1.

    5. Coastal Carolina from 150/1 to 25/1.
    6. Louisiana from 25/1 to 100/1.
