Atlantic City reported a sharp decline in revenues of 10.5 percent for the month of March yet its most troubled casino outside of the cash strapped Revel witnessed the only revenue increase.

The Atlantic Club Casino (formerly the Atlantic City Hilton) enjoyed a 33 percent jump in revenues for the month of March.

PokerStars, the world’s largest real money online poker company, has expressed a keen interest in acquiring the Atlantic Club.  As such, there has been plenty of free publicity surrounding the property over the past month.

Could this be a sign of what Stars can deliver once they establish a foothold in Atlantic City?

Unless there was some special promotion the Atlantic Club was offering throughout the month of March we at Gambling911.com are unaware of.

PokerStars move into AC is not guaranteed as the American Gaming Association has attempted to block their entry on grounds that Stars is supposedly “unfit”.  They have yet to assumer ownership of the Atlantic Club.

PokerStars parent company, The Rational Group, oversees some of the most sought after poker tournaments in the world.  As Gambling911.com has previously reported, Atlantic City will almost certainly be guaranteed a spot on the future tournament schedule.
