The Isle of Man, perhaps the single most respected Internet gambling licensing jurisdiction on the planet, has officially landed Full Tilt Poker, now acquired by another Manx operator, PokerStars.com

Full Tilt Poker is slated to reopen November 6, 2012.

The company has been shuttered since last summer following a lengthy investigation by the US Justice Department and subsequent indictments related to money laundering and bank fraud allegedly committed by previous executives.  The US Government has since settled with the company and new management is in place.  A military plane recently arrived on the island delivering computer equipment belonging to Full Tilt Poker.

The Isle of Man also licenses online webcam poker site Camasino.com

The British Crown Dependency has long been considered one of the most prestigious licensing entities for the online gambling sector.  The island nation is currently reviewing its compliance under the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA), US legislation aiming to combat tax evasion by US persons holding accounts and other financial products or assets abroad.
