Fantasy Football in Asia?  Yes, this phenomenon is spreading like wildfire it seems.

Fantasy sports pools betting provider Totel Football has secured a deal with leading land based and online gaming operator AsianLogic, which will see AsianLogic spearhead growth throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

TotelFootball operates a game which brings the excitement of pools betting to the already proven format of fantasy football management games. The service offers daily, weekly and season long betting competitions across all main European competitions.

Keith McDonnell, business development director of TotelFootball welcomes the partnership:

“We look forward to working closely with Asian gaming specialistAsianLogic to tap into the huge opportunity which the Asian market offers. In AsianLogic we have the ideal partner to make the product work for both consumers and operators alike in the region. Success in developing the Asian business will see the pools grow enormously.”

Fantasy football is an interactive competition in which people manage professional football players versus one another as general managers of a pseudo-football team.  The concept was developed in the United States back in 1962 and has since spread worldwide though the evolution has really taken off only during the past couple of years with new technology.
