Bet365 3rd Fastest Growing Profit of Private UK Companies

According to the Sunday Times PricewaterhouseCoopers Profit Track 100 league table, privately held Bet365 is the third fastest growing private company in terms of profit.

From EGR Magazine:

Profits grew by an average of 138% a year over the three-year assessment period. Group profits rose from £5.2m in 2006 to £70.8m in 2009, despite the losses incurred by English Premier League football team Stoke City FC, which Bet365 owns.  

The company claims to have 4 million customers in 200 different countries. The Group employs over 1,000 people.

Peter Coates, director of Bet365, is a lifelong supporter of the British Labour party who has donated hundreds of thousands of pounds to the party. One particularly large donation coincided with the relaxation of gambling legislation and the lifting of a ban on television advertising by the Labour government.
