There’s a cottage industry built by and around Jake Paul, including a whole lot of speculation regarding his next opponent, with a dedicated odds board.
H3: What’s Next for Jake Paul?
Twenty-seven-year-old (turning 28 in January) American Jake Paul is identified by Wikipedia as a ‘professional boxer, influencer and actor.’ A native of Cleveland who answers to ‘The Problem Child,’ he has a ring record of a dozen victories against one loss. Seven of the wins have come via knockout; his loss (to Tommy Fury) was via split decision in February 2023.
Paul’s last bout was a win (unanimous decision) against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in a 10-round cruiserweight event at Anaheim, Calif. He has also defeated Anderson Silva (twice) and Tyron Woodley, those two opponents primarily known as mixed martial artists.
Since disposing of Chavez Jr., there’s been much speculation about ‘who’s next?’ If you believe the always-reliable internet, Jake Paul next fight has 40-year-old Nate Diaz as that foe. Davis, a former UFC competitor, previously lost to Paul in August of 2023.
Some other names include former UFC heavyweight champ Francis Ngannou, former (interim) heavyweight champ Ryan Garcia, and two-time heavyweight titlist Anthony Joshua.
There’s even a BetUS boxing ‘Jake Paul Next Opponent’ under specials, with Ngannou as the 7-4 (+175) favorite to ‘win that wager’ (remember the board is fluid). The second choice is the 4-1 (+400) Davis, Joshua and Garcia at 6-1 (+600) and 7-1 (+700), respectively.
Here’s a bit of a primer on Jake Paul as the boxing news world awaits his next move…
H3: Why is Jake Paul So Famous?
Between his content and his controversies, Jake Paul has become as popular as anyone in the ring. That’s quite a statement considering he’s only had a baker’s dozen bouts. As was mentioned, there’s even a BetUS boxing betting board dedicated to his next foe.
H3: Why is Gervonta Davis Not Fighting Jake Paul?
There’s a civil lawsuit involving WBA lightweight champ Gervonta Tank Davis, filed by his ex-girlfriend (we won’t get into the accusations here), which put the kibosh on a November 14th live-streamed Miami exhibition between Davis and Jake Paul. Paul and his camp are hoping to find a ‘suitable substitute,’ but none as of this early-November writing.
H3: Did Jake Paul Defeat Mike Tyson?
Revisit last November at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, where Jake Paul handed 58-year-old Mike Tyson a unanimous-decision (heavyweight) loss in an eight-round bout. It was Tyson’s first sanctioned fight in two decades, setting a number of records involving viewing and gate.
Do not expect Paul to oppose any other AARP-ready foes, at least according to boxing odds.
H3: What is the Date of Jake Paul’s Next Fight?
As of this early-November writing, boxing rumors continue to swirl regarding who, where, and when Jake Paul next opposes in the ring. Put another way, your guess is as good as ours.
H3: Any Final Thoughts?
There are fight odds, and then there are ‘who’s he gonna fight?’ odds. Despite just 13 bouts, Jake Paul has ascended the boxing ladder to the point where even Jake Paul next fight comes with odds. As with any wager, it’s the job of the bettor to do his/her homework before tackling that question.
