'Bear Bets' is Fox Sports Newest Sports Gambling Show

Fox Sports this week announced its plans to launch a new digital and podcast sports betting series featuring television producer and broadcaster Chris Fallica.

"Bear Bets" will also feature Geoff Schwartz, a former American football offensive guard in the NFL and author.  He was drafted by the Carolina Panthers and also played for the New York Giants, Kansas City Chiefs and Minnesota Vikings.

The show's name comes from Fallica's nick, "The Bear" and will focus on his own personal sports bets.  He spent almost his entire ESPN career working as a research producer for the eight-time Emmy Award winning College GameDay - college football's longest-running and most-celebrated pregame show.

The show is slated to debut on Thursday August 31.  Starting next week, a college football-focused episode will release on Thursdays that will then be presented by Fox’s “Big Noon Kickoff".  Each episode will last between 30 and 40 minutes.

An NFL-themed episode drops each Friday during the new season.

The other day, Gambling911.com's Thomas Somach reported that ESPN had made some dramatic changes to its sports gambling show, "Daily Wager".

That show is moving back to the East Coast after being based in Las Vegas since 2020.

Additionally, one of the show’s three co-hosts, Doug Kezirian, has been fired and has not immediately been replaced.

"Daily Wager" is currently on hiatus as it completes the move and will return to the airwaves when the NFL season opens.
