Odds to win the 2009 NBA Championship finals for the Orlando Magic vs. Los Angeles Lakers has the Lakers as a -333 favorite while Orlando promised a payout of $225 on every $100 bet at Sportsinteraction.com - Click Here.

The Lakers were opening as -6 favorites for Game 1 of the NBA Championship Finals, which begins this coming Thursday, June 4.

The Magic are heading to the NBA Finals for the first time in 14 years after eliminating the Cleveland Cavaliers Saturday night.

The win ensured the Magic of their second NBA Finals berth (they were swept by the Houston Rockets in the 1995 finals).

They also made 62 3-pointers, tying the NBA record for most made 3-pointers in a six-game series.

Dwight Howard finished with a career postseason-high 40 points, 14 rebounds, and four assists.

"I don't think people thought we could be at this level," coach Stan Van Gundy said.

Six years ago they won just 21 games, a low point that helped them draft Howard with No. 1 pick.

Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers are in the NBA Finals for the second straight year and record 30th time overall.

"We saved our best game for last here, or maybe we caught our opponent a little bit off stride," said Lakers coach Phil Jackson, who gets a shot at his record 10th title after his team knocked off the Denver Nuggets Friday night.

Kobe Bryant led the Lakers with 35 points and 10 assists, and now has scored at least 500 points in four different postseasons. Only Michael Jordan, who accomplished the feat eight times, has done it more.
