The Villanova Wildcats dominated Georgetown, they didn't just dominate Georgetown; they smacked Georgetown. This game wasn't even close it was never close and Georgetown was never in this game.  LIVE IN-PLAY WAGERING is available right up to the final minute so place your bets throughout this game here.

The number one Villanova Wildcats were angry they set out to make a statement and a statement it was indeed. Now, they go on the road and renew a rivalry with their old friends, Connecticut.

For the Wildcats, they come into this one at 17-1 and 5-1 in the Big East. The Huskies are struggling with a 10-8 record. Jalen Brunson led all scorers with 18 points and Mikal Bridges added 17 of his own in the win Over Georgetown.

"This current conference is very tough," Brunson said of the Big East. "It's been eye-opening ever since I've been here. I don't know too much about the old Big East. I think I know a decent amount, not as much as Coach (Jay Wright) knows."

The Connecticut Huskies are struggling and rebuilding. For the Huskies, it's a long row to hoe and it could end up being a very long year.

"I don't know how much our players know about the old Big East," Wright said. "As a team, we're always talking about this Big East and this Big East is good. It's really good basketball and I'm shocked it's as good as it is. Being in the old Big East I didn't think anything could come close to that, but this is coming pretty close."

Look, the Wildcats are shooting the lights out. With 17 of 33 from down town against Georgetown, these guys are smoking hot and they have earned that number one spot. If Villanova loses their number one ranking it will simply be because another team came along and outworked them, outplayed them, and beat them at their own game.

"It was just one of those nights when we were making shots," Wright said. "We ran into it at Butler. With the 3-point line, when a team gets it going, there's not a lot you can do."

Don't fall into the Trap of selling Connecticut short. Connecticut won the last game between these two. It certainly feels like a long time ago and 2014 was a long time ago in basketball years. Connecticut went on to win a National Title that year.

Let's talk out of both sides of our mouth here. Although Connecticut has a history with Villanova, and the last time they played it was a close one, this one will not be that close. Connecticut does not have the personnel to keep up with Villanova in this game. They will run out of gas, Villanova will outrun them, outwork them, and beat them.

This game between Villanova and Connecticut is a gambler's game. This is a great game to wager on and to win a nice chunk of change. This game might be good for the first half and just know this; this game does not offer a juggernaut of watching value. What it offers, is a real value. Monetary value, don't miss out on this opportunity.

Don't be a weekend gambler. What's a weekend gambler? A weekend gambler is one of those guys who loves sports, who goes to Vegas 3 or 4 times a year. When the weekend gambler sees the spreads, they say to themselves "wow that spread is ridiculous and there is no way Villanova will cover;” don't make this rookie mistake. 16 points is not too many, lay it! Lay it and win it. Good luck.

Prediction: Villanova -16
