The UNC vs. FSU betting line for Monday night College Basketball action on ESPN was set at -3 Tar Heels.  North Carolina was seeing nearly 87% of the action here.  Some books had been flirting with -3.5.

While UNC does enter this game with a 13-2 Straight Up record, the Tar Heels are just 6-8-1 Against The Spread.  FSU is 10-3 SU and 5-4 ATS.

UNC has won the last five games in this series, covering the current number each time.  Florida State has also lost seven of the last eight home games in this series.

North Carolina ranks in the top 10 nationally with 86.5 points per game and in the top 15 with a 50.1 field-goal percentage after it shot better than 50 percent for the eighth time in nine games in Saturday's 86-78 home win over Georgia Tech.

The Seminoles (10-3, 0-1) have two more freshmen playing starring roles this season in Malik Beasley and Dwayne Bacon - both averaging 17.2 points. Beasley scored 23 on Saturday and senior Devon Bookert had a season-high 21 with six 3-pointers.

The OVER is 8-2 in the last 10 meetings between these two teams.  The total is 163.5 this evening.
