If any team was likely to beat the mighty Golden State Warriors and advance into the 2016 NBA Championship, it would have been the San Antonio Spurs.

The Spurs were on their way to elimination Thursday night with Oklahoma City leading them 55-31 at Halftime and San Antonio was hardly en route to catching up by the end of the 3rd quarter as the Thunder actually managed to expand their lead.  Following a bit of a scare in the 4th period, OKC walked away with a 113-99 victory.

The Spurs were a second favorite after Golden State to win the 2016 NBA Championship at 7-4 odds (the Warriors were at EVEN odds).

And the Thunder: 14-1.  That would translate into a $1400 payout for every $100 bet.

Earlier in the season. Oklahoma City was posted at 7-1 odds.  The Thunder will have the dubious task of having to eliminate the Warriors next.
