The Los Angeles Lakers host the Phoenix Suns in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals tonight. The Lakers dominated the Suns in Game 1, so the Suns need to respond with a big effort tonight. The Lakers are 6.5 favorites, with a total of 215 points expected tonight. TNT will televise the game at 9:00 EDT tonight.

Los Angeles has really flipped the switch, as they might be playing their best basketball of the season right now. The Lakers are a very dangerous team right now, considering they can beat you in any way they want. In Game 1, the Lakers showed off their explosive offense, scoring more than 30 PTS in 3 of the 4 quarters in route to a 128-107 blowout win over the Suns. Los Angeles shot 58% from the field, and had nearly 3 times as many assists than turnovers in Game 1. G Kobe Bryant had a game high 40 PTS, quickly dispelling any rumors of an injured knee. 4 other Lakers scored in double figures as well, notably F Lamar Odom. Odom made quite the impact off the bench in Game 1, scoring 19 PTS and grabbing 19 rebounds in 30 minutes of play. Center Andrew Bynum was the only negative in Game 1, as he was limited to 19 minutes. The Lakers need a healthy Bynum if they are going to repeat as NBA Champions. Los Angeles is now 66-27 SU and 40-50-3 ATS overall this

season. The Lakers are 40-7 SU and 20-26-1 ATS in home games this year. The Lakers are 7-4 ATS thus far in the playoffs this season.

The Lakers are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games against a team with a winning percentage above .600%. The Over is 4-0 in their last 4 games as a home favorite.

Phoenix has chalked Game 1 up to simply a flash in the pan disaster. The Suns had been rolling thru the playoffs before Game 1 against the Lakers. Phoenix is planning on using Game 1 as a wake up call, considering they had several days off between games. Offensively, the Game 1 stats for the Suns don't look bad as they scored 107 PTS overall. 6 different Suns players scored in double figures, led by F Amar'e Stoudemire. Stoudemire had a team high 23 PTS, the only Suns player to score more than 15 PTS. PG Steve Nash had 13 PTS and 13 assists in Game 1, yet only played 28 minutes due to the severity of the score. The Suns need to play far better defense if they are to win any games against the Lakers. Of the 12 Lakers that played in Game 1, ten of them shot at least 50% from the field. The Suns have allowed the Lakers to score 102 PTS or more in all 5 meetings this season, including 3 times with at least 118 PTS. Phoenix is 62-31 SU and 56-36-1 ATS overall this season. The Suns are 26-21 SU and 27-20 ATS in road games this season. The Suns are 2-4 ATS as a road underdog between 6.5 and 9 PTS this season. Phoenix is 31-13 ATS after allowing 105 PTS or more in their previous game.

The Suns are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games following a SU loss. The Under is 9-3 in their last 12 games following a SU loss of more than 10 points.

Pregame.com projects the final score to be 109-108 in favor of the Los Angeles Lakers. The Phoenix Suns +6.5 is the Side of the Day!
