Talk about some great value!  The San Antonio Spurs odds of winning the 2012 NBA Championship were still in double digits at 12 to 1 at BetOnline.com (as of February 21, 2012).  This despite the fact that the Spurs were currently riding an 11 game win streak, including 8 straight road victories.  You can lock in the 12-1 odds now here at BetOnline.com as they are sure to be slashed further in the next few days

“It’s an amazing feat what San Antonio has done when you consider eight straight road wins against teams like Memphis, the Clippers, Utah and Philadelphia,” noted Don Shapiro of Gambling911.com.

The 76ers lead the Atlantic Division with a 20-12 record.  The Clippers lead the Pacific division with a 19-11 record.  Memphis sits above .500 while Utah is hovering right around that mark.

“In LA, the Spurs managed to beat the Clippers in overtime, then two days later went on to beat Utah,” Shapiro points out.  “This is a franchise that is really getting its act together just before All Star Break.”

The Spurs have averaged 107.3 points in the last three games with the last four decided by seven or fewer points.

"(It’s) Persistence," said San Antonio’s Tim Duncan, who is averaging 16.2 points in the last 10 games. "It kind of shows the character of this team, how we've been playing over the last 10-15 games. We're really starting to turn that corner."
