Western Conference – Semifinals – Game 6

Sportsbook.ag Line: Los Angeles -8.5, Total: 221

The Rockets look to force a Game 7 when they face the Clippers in Los Angeles on Thursday. The team looked dead in the water after a lousy Game 4 performance but showed signs of life in a 124-103 victory as 3-point home underdogs in Game 5. Houston shot 54.1% from the floor and outrebounded Los Angeles 68-52 in the game. It will need to play with the same fire on Thursday or the team will most certainly be heading home to watch the rest of the postseason on television.

The Clippers have dominated the Rockets at the Staples Center over the years, going 8-2 straight up and 7-3 against the spread in the past 10 meetings there.

SG James Harden will be the most important player in this game, as his triple-double in Game 5 was the reason his team won the game. He is playing with an illness and must find a way to put forth a similar performance on Thursday.

The Rockets are 22-10 against the spread after a win by 10 points or more this season, but they are up against a Clippers team that is 35-20 against the spread when revenging a straight up loss versus an opponent as a favorite over the past three seasons.

The Rockets are without SG K.J. McDaniels (Elbow), PF Donatas Motiejunas (Back) and PG Patrick Beverley (Wrist) for the remainder of the year and the Clippers are playing this game at full strength.
