Odds to win the 2011 NBA Championship were now updated at Bookmaker.com.  Odds to win the Eastern and Western Conferences were also available.

For NBA Playoffs dog bettors we are coming off an extraordinary First Round where underdogs went an amazing 25-13-3 ATS.  Yes, great for dog bettors, really great for the bookies but terrible for the betting public which tends to lean heavily on favorites.

Amazingly, with that type of record we are surprised that only two early underdogs have made it to the second round.  (Note:  The Dallas vs. Oklahoma City series is yet to have a team advance to the next round).  Memphis stunned the San Antonio Spurs while Atlanta managed to upset favored Orlando.

The Hawks odds to win the 2011 NBA Championship were listed at 35/1 or +3500.

The Hawks got revenge for last year's embarrassing sweep at the hands of the Magic in which they were outscored by 25 points per game.

"They never give us a chance," Atlanta’s Josh Smith said after the game. "They never talk about the Hawks. They talk about Orlando, Chicago, Boston and Miami. We're always sneaking under the radar."

The Chicago Bulls odds of winning the 2011 NBA Championship were listed at +260 to make them nearly the co-favorites along with the Miami Heat (+245 odds).

"Speechless right now," Derrick Rose said after Chicago eliminated Indiana in five games.  Rose scored 25 points in the elimination game. "I really can't believe it. It's a great accomplishment. I'm happy for my teammates, happy for my coaching staff. They did a really great job."

The Heat knocked Philadelphia out of the First Round in five games.

"We understand where we are in this league and where the Celtics are," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. "They've proven themselves. They were the Eastern Conference champions last year. If we want to get to anywhere where we want to go, and the goals that we set for ourselves early in training camp, we have to go through them. And it wouldn't be right if we didn't play them."

The Boston Celtics come in with +455 odds after sweeping the New York Knicks earlier in the week.

The technical favorites to win the 2011 NBA Championship are the Los Angeles Lakers at 2/1 or +200 even though they struggled somewhat against New Orleans in the First Round.

All odds to win the 2011 NBA Championship and individual conferences appear below.
