Perhaps the most crucial historic stat could find is that this series has been won by a mere point in three of the last five games.  Of course the last two were won by wider margins (both during the 2010 NBA Finals), the two teams alternating wins.   Boston losing by more than the posted spread of +5 ½ to +6 only occurred 3 times in the last 10 games of this series.

A more important historic stat is that Boston has only won once in the last 10 games versus Los Angeles at home.  That might be a bit deceiving since 7 of the last 10 games were played in LA. 

After a Celtics win, the Lakers have always come back to avenge their loss.
