The MSU vs. Louisville betting line had the Cardinals as a +2.5 underdog in this Elite 8 Sunday game.

Louisville, despite their advancing to the Elite 8, have struggled Against The Spread.  They are just 13-19-2 ATS and 27-8 Straight Up.  The Cards have lost fewer games than the favored Spartans (26-11 S.U.).  Michigan State is 21-16 ATS coming into this game.

Louisville destroyed MSU just three years ago, winning by 57-44.  It’s interesting to note that the Cardinals were a +5.5 underdog in that one.

The Spartans are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 games overall and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 non-conference games.

The Cardinals are 4-0-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. Big Ten but are 1-5-1 ATS in their last 7 non-conference games.

Louisville ranks 22nd in the nation in giving up 59.4 points. The Cardinals have allowed opponents to score 70 or more points just five times this season. And they've held six of their past nine opponents from scoring 60.

Michigan State is stingy, too. The Spartans have held opponents to a 39.4 field-goal percentage this season -- and 33.1 percent in three tournament games. Michigan State is 24-4 when giving up less than 70 points.
