Missouri-Cincinnati Spread

One of the most evenly matched games of the 2011 NCAA Basketball Tournament, the Missouri-Cincinnati spread was coming in as a PICK, meaning essentially there is no spread.  Any bet would require either team to win outright at online sportsbooks the likes of SBG Global (remember to claim your free cash bonus using bonus code GAMBLING911).  Cincinnati was getting around 55 percent of the action on the spread.  The 137.5 total was getting around 65 percent of betting action on the OVER.  There is no money line on this game.

Some important things to look for in this game include:

Full-court pressure will be vital for Missouri to win. The Tigers cause an average of 18.2 turnovers per game and average 9.8 steals, ranking them second in the nation.

The Cincinnati Bearcats will likely do the same, however.  They force 4.4 turnovers per game, which is nowhere near their opponent.

Cincinnati may not even bother.

"You can press teams to speed them up," Bearcats Coach Mick Cronin said. "You can press teams to slow them down. That's why I always like to have the press in our arsenal because you can use it for different reasons. If a team doesn't handle it well, it can be the difference in the game. It really helped as at Marquette."

Cincinnati could be in trouble here based on recent betting trends.  They are just 5-17 Against The Spread versus good offensive teams - scoring 77+ points/game.

Looking at the total, Cincinnati trends point to an UNDER as they have gone UNDER 11 of 13 times when the total is 130 to 139.5.  That is offset only slightly by the fact that the OVER is 12-4 for Missouri in all NCAA tournament games since 1997.
