The current trend has each team alternating wins and Dallas was the victor in Game 4.  Also of note, the Mavericks have had to come back from steep deficits.  One of the primary concerns oddsmakers were confronted with in making this line had to do with the status of Dallas star Dirk Nowitzki, who has vowed to play despite fighting the flu.

“I will try to get out of here pretty quick, go home, take a long shower and go to bed right away,” Nowitzki said following Wednesday’s practice. “I had some soup and a good meal. I still [have] a high temperature, but the fever is basically gone. That’s the main thing you worry about. I will be ready.”

Just over 70 percent of the public was backing the Heat as of Thursday morning.

While Dallas may have lost two games in this series, they are 8-2 Straight Up against Miami over the last two seasons.  They are 6-4 Against The Spread though they covered at some books in Game 4 while pushing at most of the online shops.
