The Miami Heat were founded in 1988 and since their inception they have been a feast or famine type of team both on the hardwood and in the grandstands where the fickle Miami populace will only back a winner, and then only if there is nothing else to do.
The Heat have a total of three NBA world championships in their history with the latest coming back to back in 2012 and 2013 with LeBron James leading the way in what became known as the “Big Three Era” with Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh. James has since taken his talents back home to the Cleveland Cavaliers which brings a season of uncertainty for the Heat.
