Kansas just barely sneaked by upset-minded North Carolina State on Friday with a final of 60-57.

Kansas took 42 shots from inside the paint, outscoring the Wolfpack, 44-22. Their Achilles heel:  The Jayhawks shot just 1-14 from three-point range, and 2-22 overall outside of the paint.  Ouch!

The Tar Heels enjoyed a much more decisive 73-65 win over Ohio on Friday.  North Carolina had an advantage of playing an Ohio team that was trying to become the first team seeded 13th or worse to make the regional finals since the NCAA tournament expanded in 1985.

Of concern for North Carolina coming into their game against Kansas, Harrison Barnes did not make any of his 16 shot attempts inside the paint.
